- Cross Fusion can occur anywhere, so long as there's a compatible PET and a Synchro Chip is available. However, outside of data fields, it causes an extra strain on the human, making it generally inefficient to use except for emergencies.
- While fused, the human feels the physical effects of activity (such as their heart rate increasing from exertion), but suffer no damage. All injuries are inflicted on the NetNavi, and too much damage -- or heavy damage right to the core, the emblem -- will force the fusion to break.
- A Cross Fused pair will have their brain-waves sync, allowing them to telepathatically communicate and move without resisting each other.
- This is important because either Navi or human can have main control, or share control to let them move more efficiently.
- Rhythm is an extremely good coder, about as good as her counterpart is a roboticist. She can hack nearly anything average and code nearly anything she can think of herself, though her level of skill is nowhere near that of Light's or Wily's. She mostly uses it to lightly hack games so Forte can manifest in his NetNavi form or scan it to act as a player's guide for her, or to code things like the "Navi House Program" she made that lets NetNavis launch a home they can live in rather than just idling in the data of the pet.
- Forte plays her games with her, all the time. He also acts even beyond what NetNavis usually do, not just keeping track of appointments, medication schedules, and various tasks, but also making the appointments for her if she can't, using the wireless connection to manage functions of her house (such as warming up some food in the microwave if she's in the shower), and whatever else he can get his hands on. He also tends to keep an eye on her bank sometimes, just to make sure everything's in order.
- She loves Forte, with all her heart. He was given to her as a gift from her father when she was 9, after a terrible wreck left her legs paralyzed and she was stuck in the hospital. He's been with her and caring for her ever since, and she doesn't feel like she can rely on anyone as much as him. He's always with her, no matter where she goes. This does have a slight downside, however, in that if Rhythm is separated from Forte, she can dissolve into panic attacks if too long passes on her own. If it's an intentional separation, such as him dashing off to prevent some kind of awful hacking accident, she's okay for much longer, but she'll very quickly break down if he just vanishes or she loses the PET.
- She's cheerful and very friendly to people, and is almost always in a good mood. Even if she's hurting, or feels sick, she's usually positive, mostly because she has Forte by her side and it's not hard to be happy when he's caring for her. If Rhythm acts grumpy, moody, or miserable, that's a sign she's really in pain or feeling immensely sick, and needs immediate care.
- Rhythm's host of problems causes her some issues and requires accommodations from places. These are her legs (paralyzed in an accident, and while now useable, still prone to pain), general pain in her entire body, migraines, and a more unknown disease that can cause severe chest pains and difficulty breathing. She takes medications for these, and because of the effects that missing any can have on her, Forte is absolutely religious about making sure she's stocked and takes them on time.
